Our delivery staff are fully trained on how to store and apply 8-2-12-4 fertilizer and, on your first delivery, will demonstrate how to properly handle your fertilizer. They are really good at answering question too. Contact us if you still have questions and we will be happy to put your curiosity to rest.
- How big are the bags and how much do they cost?
- The bags are 50 pounds, and cost $60.00 each delivered.
- Is this fertilizer good for my lawn, and how many Sq. Ft. of lawn does one bag cover?
- 3500 to 5000 depending on the condition of your lawn, if your lawn is in poor shape, it will do 3500 sq.ft.
- Is the 8-2-12-4 good for all my plants?
- Yes, it was developed by the University of Florida with The Villages landscape in mind. It is primarily a palm fertilizer, but because of all the micronutrients it has, it's good from azaleas to roses.
- What is the number 4 in the 8-2-12-4?
- The #4 is 4% water soluble Magnesium. So the extra Epsom salt that some add to there fertilizer routine is not necessary.
- Does this fertilizer burn plants?
- The 8-2-12-4 fertilizer is 100% slow release. So if applied correctly, It will not burn.
- How many time a year should we fertilize?
- We recommend at least 3 times. March, June, & September. If it is going to be a hot winter, then December as well.
- Do I have to sign a contract with Fertilizer Direct?
- No, we have no contracts. We will deliver what you want, when you want it.
- Do I need to be at home when you deliver the fertilizer?
- No, you do not need to be at home when we deliver. We will drop it at your door and bill you.
- Will you let me know when its time to fertilize next?
- We will give you a courtesy call when it time to fertilize. At that time you can choose to add more, or tell to hold off until next time.
- Can you tell me how much fertilizer I need for my yard?
- Yes, on your first delivery. We will walk your yard with you, and determine how much fertilizer you need.
